Personal motivation is key to maintaining almost all aspects of life. Without motivation, we’re easy to squander our time and neglect our personal and professional goals. However, motivation is not the magic which would come from a bottle. Motivation is your soul muscle. The more you excercise and care about it, the more motivated you are. Here are some few tips and strategies that help you stay focused and on track:

Find the way to be motivated

  1. Feed your soul.

An alive motivation only come from a healthy soul. There will be a lot of ways to feed your soul. One of the best way is to surround yourself with people who are positive and who have your best interests at heart: Be in touch with your parent. Talk with your trustworthy friends. Brainstorm with your partner and ask for their opinions, etc. When you’re stuck, someone with more experience might be able to shed some light on your problem. Listen to them, but also ask a lot of questions.

  1. Keep yourself elevated:

It’s alway better if you can get around people who have goals and plans, and make the most of their high aspirations. And stay away from negative people who only give their complaint and moan.

Watch and read motivational stories or speeches can help you get a little (or sometime big) pick-me-up. Everyone deserves a great pep talk every once in a while. They remind us of who we’re capable of, and how to achieve it.

  1. Have a big picture.

Do whatever it takes to keep your goal in sight: Find and image visualization and sketch it in you book note, write your goal down on a sticky note and plaster it anywhere you want, think about why you’re working so hard,…

Also don’t forget to keep track of your goals and check your progress. If you were always checking to see how much closer you are getting throughout the whole process.

  1. Give yourself breaks:

Sometimes even the most determined people can get overwhelmed.  Everyone falls short sometimes. If you fail to meet your goals for the week, take it as a lesson. Don’t dwell on failure; just accept it as a human occurrence, and continue working towards your goals.

Stop focusing so intently on yourself and your business for a bit. Find a way to help someone else. Donate your time. If I’m losing my magic, this helps without fail.

Staying motivated isn’t easy, especially when the goal you’re working towards seems as far out of reach as ever. Try not to get too down on yourself. Likewise, don’t get too excited when things are going well! Success takes time. There will be stops and starts.
